Susquehanna River

Brought our Sandy, Rebecca, and Sam out on the Susquehanna River today for a 6 hour adventure!  The weather was great and  the fish were biting good.  The feisty smallies tugged and pulled very hard in the river current!  Mostly smaller fish today but they were still fun!  Biggest of the day went to Sam and was a 16-17" size class smallmouth.  We got somewhere between 30-40 smallmouth in the boat today.  Gotta love the river!

Anderson here.  I had the pleasure of taking Jeff and Rob out on the muddy Susquehanna today!  The muddy water didn't bother the fish, Jeff and Rob put over 2 dozen smallies in the boat, plus half a dozen Green Sunfish, a few Rock Bass, and 1 nice Walleye.  The fish were mostly on the smaller side, but plenty of keepers made it into the boat and they were fun!  We had a good old time out there catching those hard pullin' river Smallies!

Lake Winola

Hi everyone its Josh. I took Tyler out to Lake Winola on a 8 hr bass trip. Water temperature was 81 and fish could be found in shallow water early and as the day went on it became a deeper water bite. Toward the mid day hours the fish moved to the tops of steep breaks that went from 20 feet to 30 plus. Finesse tactics worked the best. Good job Tyler, we ended up with around 16 bass for the day and a pickeral. I had on a large fish on down deep, but the hook came free ten seconds or so into the fight, never did see the fish but thats fishing. Our biggest was about 17 inches and weighed around 2 1/4 or a bit more. A good day of fishing, thanks Tyler!

Brought 2 friends down to Winola to have some fun Saturday morning.  The fishing was good as expected and we probably put around 15 bass in the boat, some panfish, and 2 big pickeral.  Biggest Largemouth pulled the scale down to 3.5lbs.  I will post some pics later.  The river isn't the only place to have some fun around here, that high river doesn't bother the fish in the lakes!

Anderson here.  My father and I headed on down to White Oak for a few hours on Friday morning.  We had a good time out there especially the last hour(9 bass in 1 hour).  It took us a while to figure them out but once we did the action was nonstop!  We ended up with a dozen bass in the boat(a lot of lost fish in the morning).  We also got about a dozen pickeral(maybe more), and 2 bluegill.  We didn't want to leave but we ran out of time.

Honey Hole fishing!

Hey everyone its josh.  My father and I hit one of our little honey holes today and boated sixteen largies. Most ranging in 14-16 inch size and one that was around 18 or so inches that weighed in at 3 1/4 pounds. Caught our fish on a assortment of soft plastics and shallow running crank baits, it was a fun time and nice to get out regardless.

Lackawanna State Park

Anderson here.  I brought out John and Evan to Lackawanna Lake on Sunday to try and get a big Largemouth.  The water was muddy, a few inches high, and I think it effected the fish more than muddy warm water usually does....  We only ended up getting 2 bass in the boat first thing in the morning.  We had a few others get off as well.  They were 14-15" fish.  I did show them how to catch them when the fish are doing their usual summer thing.  I am sure the next time John and Evan go there, they will catch some of those Lackawanna Hogs!  Can't get them every time, that's fishing!

On a related note, all this rain has messed up the river pretty bad.  Josh had to reschedule 2 trips yesterday due to unsafe river conditions(once we see debris floating down the river, running the river is just too dangerous).  Hopefully the river will recede to a decent level soon.  The weather forecast doesn't look good though.
