Susquehanna River Friday Evening

I went down to the River in Tunkhannock with my wife for about an hour or 2 right before dark.  We had some fun and caught a few smallies, biggest went about 2.5lbs.  I had on a nice muskie probably pushing the 40" mark but after a long fight his teeth found my line and he was gone!  The river is just plain fun!

Stevens Lake Summertime fun in the Endless Mountains of Pennsylvania!

Hit Stevens with my Dad and brother for about 3hrs this evening for some fun fishing.  The grass is definitely thick there but the fishing is still good.  We caught about a dozen bass.  Most of them 12-14" and 2 over 15".  Biggest went around 17".  We were catching them on just about whatever we threw.  10" worms, senkos, flukes, jigs, swimbaits, spinnerbaits....  Sure was fun catching them with my Dad and Brother!

Just got my guiding service logo in the mail.  Hopefull I will be able to get it on the truck soon!  I will post a pic on my facebook page when I get the graphics installed!  I am also considering getting a much bigger and more capable boat for next year....as long as I get a enough clients by the end of the year I will probably get one for my clients to relax and have a good time in as much comfort as possible.  This bigger boat will also allow me to take up to 3 people out on a trip!

Lake Carey Fishing!

Brought out Jamie and Paul on a 6hr charter on Sunday afternoon. I brought them down to Lake Carey to show them around the lake a bit and introduce them to how we catch them up north(they are from the South). We had a great time out there and probably joked around just as much as we fished, LOL. I think we probably put between 15-20 bass in the boat. They were all small though with the quality fish simply eluding us yesterday. That's fishing!

Brought out a fellow a tournament angler  on Lackawanna Lake in Lackawanna State Park today.  My client Rocky, had a great time and was really happy with the day of fishing.  I think we ended up with around 20 bass in the boat with quite a few quality fish in the mix.  Biggest in the boat was a 4.12lb'er that Rocky picked from the depths.  I had a great time guiding him today, we both shared some stories and had some laughs.

Brought out John and his son Evan  on Lake Carey on Saturday to teach them more about the lake and fishing with plastic baits.    We put 6 keeper bass and a few non keepers bass in the boat (both largemouth and smallmouth) along with a bonus keeper walleye and a few rock bass.  I can't wait until the fall, when the fish start feeding for the coming winter!

Lake Winola Bass fishing

8/3/2012

Brought out John and his son Evan to Winola on a 4hr charter to teach them some new tricks for catching bass in the heat of the summer.  I think we put about 8 bass in the boat up to about 2lbs.  The big bass were a bit elusive this morning but the big pickeral were biting well.  Evan caught about a 24" pickeral with shoulders on it!  He also caught another about 18" and broke off another at the boat that was at least another 24" class fish.  We had a good day and I enjoyed guiding Evan and his father on a pleasant summer morning.
