Brought out Zach and Mel for a Smallie trip on the Susquehanna today... Fishing was good with a nice number of good fish in the morning! No big smallies but a bunch of keepers up to about 17". 53 smallies in the boat today, 1 green sunfish and about an 8-10lb channel cat! The river is surely low, much low than this and it's going to start getting tough getting to some spots!

Brought out Jon, Paul, and Paul jr on the Susky this morning. They put 46 smallies in the boat plus a nice Channel cat! They tried a bit for some Musky too but no takers. Brought out John and Craig today on the Susky.... 30 Smallies in the boat, 2 Walleye, 2 channel cats, and a Green Sunfish. We had a good time gettin' em! The weather was nice, seen a bunch of eagles, no big bass but even the small ones pull hard in the current! Brought Stan and Larry on the River on Sunday morning. We were hoping the topwater bite would be good but all the fish would do was slap at it, so we had to catch them with a jig! 34 Smallmouth in the boat. No slammers but they put a few keepers in the boat! We had a good time! Love fishing on that River! Brought Ed and Nancy out a Lake Winola to catch a few and to learn about fishing techniques. They caught a few Largemouths and some nice Crappie and Perch, along with a few Rock Bass! It sure was nice and peacful out on the lake in the morning!
Hit up the river on Friday to tangle with some smallies. Put 54 in the boat before I hung it up. I even managed a few better fish on topwaters which was sure fun!
Brought out Dan and Clem on the river this Sunday, fishing was great with 87 smallmouth making it into the boat, along with a walleye, sucker, a few green sunfish, and a few rock bass as well. No big ones but plenty of keepers were willing to battle! Had a short dusk trip on Saturday with Duane and Amanda, they got them good putting 43 smallmouth bass in the boat, a sucker, and a couple of rock bass as well. The low water sure is nice! The bite is ON! |
