MUD, Mud, mud.....The ramp is full of mud, the water is full of mud! The north branch of the Susquehanna is being difficult this spring! So anyway, I brought Dave and Wendy out on the river today and they got a few! 47 Smallmouth in the boat, 1 Brook trout, and about 5 or 6 Channel Cats. Biggest Cat went to Wendy at over 8lbs. The biggest Smallmouth also went to Wendy with a Goldfish Shaped smallmouth that went 3.37lbs! Which puts her in the lead for this seasons Lunker Leader! Nice job! Brought Craig and Allison out on Wallenpaupack this Sunday. The river was still a raging mess in the North Branch, so to the lake we went! They managed 10 bass and 2 Pickeral! Allison caught all the big ones! Craig lost all the big ones! Fishing can be a bugger sometimes, LOL! Had a Boyd family fishing trip today! The river was out of the question here so we just decided Lake Carey would be the best for the 4 boats needed for this fun day! A little rain and wind wasn't welcome but we didn't let that stop us! Big thanks to Allen Casal, Josh Boyd, and Tom for Captaining the other boats! Well over 60 fish were caught and released. Largemouth, Smallmouth, Crappie, Perch, Pickeral and Rock Bass all showed up today! Biggest bass went to Josh with a healthy 18" Largemouth! I had a chance to take my wife fishing for about 2 hours yesterday evening, before all the rain and high water! She smoked em and we both caught some beauties! 33 Smallmouth in the boat in 2 hours ain't too bad! This rain is killing me this season! More lake fishing this weekend! Saturdays charter with Brad and DA, yielded 42 smallies with lots of nice 16-17" fish! A few around the 18" mark were landed also! Brad will be taking a seat as the current lunker leader for the season with a 3.19lb smallmouth. I don't think that will last long but who knows! Good job guys! We also fished for cats a while and they boated 4 nice Channels! Got em good on Friday! 62 smallies in the boat! No giants but plenty of good ones! They are biting good!
