I brought out Bill and his nephew Nick this morning for a 4 hour trip on the Susquehanna River. The action was good and plenty and we probably put 15-20 smallmouths in the boat, not sure exactly as I didn't keep count. We also put a couple of Rock bass in the boat. Nick caught a bonus Northern Pike on a topwater bait (and that fish slammed that bait)! We all shared some laughs and called it quits around 9:30am. The river is just plain fun! Don Jacobs and Brain Hollingshead were both great guys and we had a blast out there on the Susky! Fished a club tournament on Lake Oneida this past weekend. Saturday I took 1st place and my fishing partner Neil Marcen took 2nd place on Saturday and Sunday. We both had the lunker for each day! We had a great time and caught lots of bass!
I brought Don Jacobs out to tape a show on the Susquehanna River in Tunkhannock. The bass did not cooperate too well but the river did not disappoint! I am sure the show will be a good one! The river is a special place to me and if you watch that show, you WILL see why! You don't want to miss this one! It will be airing this sunday on WNEP's Pennsylvania Outdoor Life!
Fished a tournament at Harveys Lake with the Bass Bandits today! It was a good time and the fishing was even better! Our club does a 3 fish limit, and I took 1st place with a weight of 12.35lbs! Check the photos tab for pictures!
Practiced for an upcoming tournament with the Bass Bandits on Harvey's Lake yesterday. Fishing was good, however the fish were very picky about what they wanted and where they wanted it! I am glad I got to practice and found what I did because if the fish are doing what they were yesterday during the tournament, I will be ready! Though I did a bunch of experimenting and searching and not so much fishing to catch em. When I figured things out, it didn't take but a few hours to put about a dozen Largemouth and Smallmouth in the boat. I can't wait till the tournament next weekend! Biggest was about 18", spawned out, and beat up!
Hit Stevens Lake with my father today. We put 21 largemouths in the boat with a lot of missed opportunities(we were both having bad strings of luck out there today). We still got them good though and had fun doing it! Biggest went 4.25lbs and was actually the first fish of the day! Check the Photos page to find the pic!
