Hey folks Josh here. I had the pleasure to take Dennis and Mary out for a second trip on Friday of the 30th for 8hrs. Gorgeous day on the water with a little over a dozen smallies down at the ol' susquehanna. Some healthy fish caught and released to catch another day. We seen a nice bald eagle land above us on a tree top. Overall a good day on the water, thanks Mary and Dennis. Happy fishing.

Hey folks Josh here again. Took Dennis and Mary out today on a full 8hr bass trip to sylvan lake. Smallies could be found holding near drop offs with rocks around and could be caught using a wacky rigged senko. How ever the largies could be found outside of the grass and pads in the morning low light hours. Once the sun came out they retreated toward heavy thick pad cover. A 3/8 oz jig was used in accordance with a 7 1/2 foot flipping Stick with 20 pound mono. The heavy equpment is a must draggin ol moss back out of a jungle. Some decent fish were caught and a couple nice smallies shook hooks. Our biggest of the day was probably around 17 inches or so. We ended up around 8 bass smallies and largies and had a great day on the water! Happy fishing everyone. Hey everyone Josh here. Took Roger down to the river for a four hr trip. We managed around six smallies in the boat which were all fairly decent fat fish but couldn't get much numbers as the early morning bite faded. It was a disappointing fish catching day with one exciting fish that Roger landed. A six and quarter pound channel cat that hit his jig, he sure put up a good fight with our smallie tackle! Water was still a bit dirty but dirty water has little to no affect on a river bite once the water has stabilized, they still have to eat. Anyway it was a good day with a good guy thanks Roger! Hey everyone Josh here. Took out father and son Rudy and Nick. A bunch of fish were caught, 20 or so smallies and some rockies with a five pound channel cat caught by nick using a jig lol. When the cattie surfaced I thought from the brownish side it could have been a giant smallmouth lol. Nearly put myself into cardiac arrest, it was a good fight for Nick and he handled the heavy fish well in strong current. A great day on the water the morning bite was good so remember the early bird gets the worm in typical summer time patterns! Have a good day everyone, happy fishing and thank you Rudy and Nick! Captain JB signing off. Check out a few of the pics of the new custom Rock Proof Boat being built for us! This boat is going to make fishing super comfortable for our clients(it has a length of 20ft plus an additional 2ft off the back deck). It will also enable us to get to any spot on the river no matter how shallow the river gets since it can run in 4" of water! Hey folks Josh here. Fished with Jim and Sue on 8-15 and managed around 16 fish or so. Few got off but it was a good day on the water with good people. Jigs worked well and medium diving cranks. Managed a couple decent fish today in the 16 and 17 inch range. Seen some wildlife and after the fog cleared it was a beautiful day. Thanks Jim and Sue for a good day on the water! On another note the water temperature was 68 degrees! Hey everyone Josh here. I took Walter and Eddie on a 4hr trip to the river August sixth. They got about a dozen and a half fish in the boat all smallies. A variety of sizes but nothing big. We spotted a Bald Eagle and Eddie caught his first smallmouth bass! Not a bad day on the water. I also had the privilege of taking Walter and Eddie for a trip to one of our non local lakes on the seventh. The weather front hurt the fishing bad. A rather easy lake turned into a tough lake and the fish were either holding tight to shallow water cover or in deeper rocky areas. A heavy jig was the only thing to get the largemouths that day. Basically had to drop it on the bass nose to get bit. We ended up with eight and a few panfish. Eddie also added a new species to his list, a yellow perch! Good job Eddie and thanks again! Hey Josh here. Took Terry and Peter to the river for a 6hr trip. Managed a dozen and a half smallies some two pounders. It was fun. The fish could be found in shallow water current and caught using jigs. We saw a bald eagle fly right over the boat and dove down and caught a fish 70 yards behind the boat in front of the Tunkhannock River Street boat launch. It was a exciting day to say the least. We also had a bit of rain to deal with, but we caught some fish and told some jokes and had a good time. |
