Hey everyone josh here! Had a good day with john and craig today! This was there first experience fishing with us as there guide and it was a good time even with a few upsets. Let me start about a fun filled day of upsetting news right off the bat. After meeting and greeting john and craig I gave them some bad news. The river rose over 4 feet over night and was still going. Being uneasy about fishing rising waters I told them it would be in our best interest to find a new body of water. So lake winola we went. We fished for almost two hours with only one decent laregmouth in the boat and decided to try the river, judging from NOAA the water had crest at just under 15 feet so away we went. Upon arrival we found garbage, trees, and small branches floating down which is a automatic no go on the river for a few reasons, above all safety and making it back to the launch. So lake carey here we come! The guys fished for 6hrs landing atleast 2 dozen rock bass and around ten bass ranging on the smaller side which wasnt to bad considering the day we have had at that point! Rain held off and it stayed nice and cool all day which was pleasant and we had some pretty decent action. Couple of guys just wanting to go fishing and enjoy the water, lovin it! At the end of the day the water is the best medicine. After a few upsets it was still funfilled and adventurous thanks again john and craig!

Hey everyone its josh. I took marian and dave for a 6hr trip to Lackawanna state park. Decent fishing we did land some bass and panfish along with a trout. It was nice to get to the park for a change. Different scenery is nice occasionally! Maybe next time I can get marian and dave on some good river fishin! Happy fishing!
Hey folks josh here! I took Mary and Dennis out on a extended 10hr trip on saturday and they had 45 smallies in the boat. A lot of average size fish caught, Mary had a nice one jump off which was a bummer but thats fishing. That was the last of the good may bite, stay tuned for the summer bite! Thanks Mary and Dennis it was a good day! Anderson here, I got a chance to hit the river this past weekend too! Managed around 30 smallies in the boat in about 7 hrs, 1 keeper walleye, and a hand full of rock bass. 1 smallie was a brute. Check out the pic!
Had a great day with mike chaney (our lunker winner of last year) and joe! Alot of nice fish caught today along with smaller fish. A awesome day of fishing with good guys and we hit the bite just right! 120 bass in the boat, thats a smallmouth beatdown! We did that in just 8hrs! Senkos and jigs where the ticket! Glad to have been a part of it and a pleasure guiding mike and joe. Happy fishing, go and get'em!Spent a week in North Carolin for my sister's wedding. Had a good time, and even got out and did a little topwater fishing for Redfish(which was a bunch of fun). Going to do some fishing tomorrow. Then I have a charter Sunday. Stay tuned.
Hey everyone Josh here. Had a four hour afternoon with John for walleye. John was on a mission to land some walleye and he did just that. He landed three in the boat along with a couple dozen smallies or so! Great four hrs of fishing with a good guy. The last half hr john targeted smallies and got a few in the boat and the last fish caught was a giant 4.45lb smallie that was 19 3/4 inches long!!! WHAT A BEAUTIFUL BRONZEBACK GORILLA! What a awesome day of fishing. Doesnt get much better than that...
Hey everyone. Took out will and his father for a10hr bass trip on the river! They boated 31 smallies and had a great time catching the fish. They used mostly jigs and senkos to catch their fish. Will is definitely a good fishermen and I can say for sure he loves it! Not many youg men that will spend ten hrs on the sunny water and still be focused on catching fish. I was pretty wore out at the end of the day! Thanks guys for a good trip!
Hey everyone josh here. Had a good time stickin smallies on the river with dennis and mary! Two 8hr trips saturday and sunday. They fished hard and caught 24 saturday and 29 sunday with a few walleye. The current lunker leader goes to dennis for a 3.06lb smallie caught on a jig and it was a football! Mary got a few fish that looked like they may be on a growth sumplement, check the pics! Had a great time and it was awesome to finally get back on the water and use the rocket again! Water temp was 52 and most fish caught on jigs. I messed around and caught fish on jerkbaits and cranks. By far the best bait for us was jigs. 1/8th oz and 1/4 were both used. Anderson here. Brought Shannon out on Harvey's Lake yesterday. Had a tough day out there.... No fish made it into the boat, Shannon had one on but it got off. I definitely made a bad choice about the location, the combination of cold water and tons of food(there was a big baitfish die off going on all day long giving the fish tons of easy pickings). Can't get them every single time.
Hey everyone! Josh here, I finally had my first outing on our local lake and had a good time for the short period I fished. Caught six fish. My first fish of the season being a 15 inch largemouth then shortly after a 21 1/2 inch largemouth that weighed 5lbs 6 ounces! Was awesome to finally get out. After three hrs of fishing the weather got to bad, high winds with strong gusts and the temp was dropping fast. Now if only the river will stop rising for a smallmouth beatdown. STINKING RAIN!
Anderson here, I too finally got out on the boat a few days after Josh got out. I hit up Stevens Lake in the morning and Carey in the afternoon. Fishing was a bit tough as the water temps dropped fast but we still managed 5 bass at Stevens all of which were about 14-15" fish. Over at lake Carey I managed 4 Largemouths and 4 pickeral. The bass that were brought into the boat over at Lake Carey were all nice fish, 1 that was 16" and the other 3 were 17"-18" fish. Water is a bit cold but it should be getting better every day. I hope the river stops roaring soon.... it will probably be good enough in a couple days. |
