Brought out Bill and Bob for some Lake Carey fishing! We started off fishing for Crappies and put some dandies in the boat, not a hole bunch but the smallest went around 11"! A couple of big perch made it in the boat, 1 decent walleye(and another we could have used for bait), and about half a dozen bass(biggest was around 17"), the fishing was decent and it was a pleasure guiding Bill and Bob!

Anderson here. I had the pleasure of guiding Glenn and Colin to a nice day out on the river. The bass fishing was decent today with a bunch of fish put in the boat. I would say around 40 smallies made it in the boat today, give or take a few. No big ones, but we got enough 12-15" fish to keep things interesting! On a side note the River Rocket is like a Cadillac to fish out of, it's BIG! The Mecury sportjet is one awesome motor and pump combo, that thing hauls! It sure is nice having that big of a boat to fish from along with the added perks of being able to skim over just a few inches of water!
Hey guys Josh again. Took Steve and Sandy down to the river for a 6hr bass trip. Had a bit of rain and it cooled way down. Water temp went from 66 to 64 overnight from the previous day. But cant complain they caught sixteen or so smallies. A few on the small side but you can see from the pics some decent fish were caught. I'm so ready for the new boat and to slam some big ol smallies for the fall bite, it sure is starting without a doubt! Good job guys and I had a great time! Hey everyone Josh here. Took Brad and Rich down to the river on on the 21st of Sept. Managed about a dozen and a half fish or so in the boat. We began the day fishing for Walleye and ended the day with smallie fishing. We caught 4 walleye and two of those fish were around 17 and 18 inches, caught on jigs tipped with a half of crawler. Water was about 66 degrees and half way into the trip it began to rain light until we left. Not a bad 6hr day on the water with some decent fish and a couple good fisherman! Checked out the river yesterday afternoon and figured some stuff out on the bigger fish, not the giants, but the nice ones! Then I just messed around trying different stuff out. Managed 15 smallies to about 17" in the boat, 1 walleye, 1 big sucker, and 1 bluegill, LOL. Should be good for our clients this weekend!
Anderson here, hit Lake Winola today with my father. The fish were a bit stubborn today as we could only find the smaller fish around the 12" mark, well for the most part anyway. We did get a couple of decent Largemouth to 16". 1 big Rock Bass and a 25" pickeral. I had a heart stopping moment out there first thing in the morning when a huge wake jetted over and followed the spinnerbait I was reeling in! The fish didn't bite but I did get a look at it and I couldn't believe what I saw! It was either a big Northern Pike or Musky at around the 40" mark! That think was big! I didn't even know they were in there! I don't think the state ever officially stocked the lake with Northern's or Musky, but there is at least 1 of them in there, and it is no baby. Got to enjoy the beautiful weather, and some fishing with my Dad. Good times!
Josh and I decided to hit the river and take on the challenge of rising muddy water. No big boys to talk about but we had fun and caught a few. Probably around 20 or so in the boat, maybe a few more. About half of which were decent sized fish, the others were dinkers. Hopefully, the rains stop and let the river stabilize and clear up a bit.
Hit up the river late this morning and into the afternoon to do some scouting and keep tabs on what the fish are doing. Glad to find that the fish are just starting to transition to their fall habits! It will be a couple more weeks yet but they have started! I caught over a dozen in a few hours while I was fishing in the areas they were holding. They were from 12-16" fish. The big boys will be starting to bite just in time to chase them with the new boat!
Hey folks Josh here. I had the pleasure to take Dennis and Mary out for a second trip on Friday of the 30th for 8hrs. Gorgeous day on the water with a little over a dozen smallies down at the ol' susquehanna. Some healthy fish caught and released to catch another day. We seen a nice bald eagle land above us on a tree top. Overall a good day on the water, thanks Mary and Dennis. Happy fishing. Hey folks Josh here again. Took Dennis and Mary out today on a full 8hr bass trip to sylvan lake. Smallies could be found holding near drop offs with rocks around and could be caught using a wacky rigged senko. How ever the largies could be found outside of the grass and pads in the morning low light hours. Once the sun came out they retreated toward heavy thick pad cover. A 3/8 oz jig was used in accordance with a 7 1/2 foot flipping Stick with 20 pound mono. The heavy equpment is a must draggin ol moss back out of a jungle. Some decent fish were caught and a couple nice smallies shook hooks. Our biggest of the day was probably around 17 inches or so. We ended up around 8 bass smallies and largies and had a great day on the water! Happy fishing everyone. |
