The Nitro that I have been using for tournaments, recreation, and guiding all these years is ready to go to a new home! The boat has been winterized and is ready for the water as is. I wasn't able to wash the boat for the pictures so I am sorry about the scum line(it looks beautiful when it is all cleaned up).....the temperatures were below freezing.
The boat is a 2001 Nitro 700LX, single Console fiberglass bass boat. The outboard is a 60hp Tracker Marine/Mercury motor. The length is 17 ft and it comes with a 2000 Trailstar Trailer. I am the original owner of the boat and it is in good shape for it age. It does have some scratches however none that are very deep or easily noticed. If you are seriously considering this boat I will meet you somewhere in Tunkhannock to check it out before you buy it, I will also bring you out on it when the ice is off if you need to learn what the boat can do, what to watch out for, how all the gadgets work, how to run the boat, ect.....
The outboard motor runs good, I can't say great, it has it's fits when the motor isn't warmed up but she has never let me down.
The only thing that does not work on the boat is the trim gauge does not work(just needs a new sensor on the motor). I never fixed it because I never even looked at it. It is a simple fix however. The skeg was also knocked off this past season, I just put a skeg guard on it, which also got a little banged up, however it does not affect the performance of the motor. You can see it in the pictures.
I made alot of changes 2 years ago (when I refreshed the boat) :
1)A passenger rod organizer was added.
2) A flipping deck instert with an extra seat pedastal base was also added. It also makes more storage space to keep the clutter off the walking surfaces.
3)Recessed Trolling motor pedal tray
4)New Steering Wheel
5)New Seats(the new seats are splitting at a couple seems, see the photos)
6)All new carpet
7)Re-plumbed the Livewell system to suit tournament angling better(I added a pump out system, a recirculating pump and timer switch, replaced the old fill/recirculate pump, moved the components to an easy to reach location, the new pumps are Rule 800gph Tournament Series pumps)
8)Added a mount for the onboard charger
9) Put a brand new 3 bank Hummingbird on board charger in the boat(plug it in and forget it)
10)Put a brand new Fortrex 101 bow mount trolling motor on the boat
11)Put the best 6 gauge marine wire in the boat for the Trolling motor, along with a 60 amp Minn Kota Breaker
12)New Minn Kota Trolling Motor Plug and receptacle(the best available in my opinion)
13)New trailer hubs, seals, and bearings
14)Over the years I have also changed most of the running lights on the trailer with LEDS including the rear taillights, which is nice since they truly are a submersible light, so you don't have to unplug them when launching the boat.
15) LED Lighting in 2 of the front compartments and in the livewell. There is also a Snake Light in the Front Center compartment.
16)A mini in between seat instert for 3 across seating while underway with the outboard
17)A new Trailer Jack
18)A new trailer winch and strap
The boat will also come with 2 fish finders one on the bow and one at the helm(the one with GPS can be used for ice fishing with the ice fishing caddy that will come with the boat purchase also), a spare tire for the trailer, 1 throw cushion, 1 fire extinguisher, 1 oar, keel gaurd, custom cover, 2 Stainless Steel props in fair condition(1 for heavy loads and 1 for light loads) and 4 Sealed AGM Batteries(top of the line batteries). All you need is the keys and some life jackets and you are ready for the water!
