Fished a Bassbandits tournament on Prompton last Sunday and struggled big time. Just had one of those days where nothing went right. I think I lost close to a dozen fish! I only managed to put 1 keeper in the boat! That fishin' though, even when your on them, it doesn't mean you can catch them!

Brought out Bill and his son Bill on the River this morning. The water are warming up again with the heat and the lack of rain is allowing the water levels to continue to drop every day. The fishing was a bit on the tough side this morning but the fish were still biting and my clients were very quick learners and picked up on one of the toughest techniques of bass fishing in the river to learn in a short amount of time. The fish were fickle, but they still managed to put at least 20 smallies in the boat. Bill senior had a monster Musky follow his bait to the boat, but the fish wasn't interested enough to eat. We packed it up around noon. I had a great time guiding 2 great guys to some good old fashioned fun!
I had the pleasure of guiding Cliff and his friend Ralph on the river this morning! The bass were biting decent and we put around 15 maybe 20 smallies in the boat(I didn't keep track, again, just having to much fun). Those 2 guys were funny, and their playful bickering kept things fun in between bites! We also caught a few rock bass too. Water temps, came down 5 degrees and the fish are liking it!
Brought out Ryne and Meagan for some bassin on Lake Carey. Ryne also wanted to learn about as many bass fishing tricks he could while we were out there, so we sure had a fun day on the water. We started in the morning fishing for some bass before we started the teachin'. We caught a few decent fish and had some fun. Later in the afternoon after the teaching session Ryne nailed a nice smallmouth which can be seen on the photos page. We put 5 bass in the boats and a couple of rock bass by the days end.
Brought out Griff and his friend Ted for a Dusk trip on Friday. The water was 85 degrees! We still managed to catch a few however, and we probably put around a dozen smallmouth bass in the boat. Griff and Ted both had a monster Musky follow their baits to the boat, but the fish never actually hit their baits. It was easily a keeper Musky!
I hit the river with a fellow fishing guide David Kozlansky from Legend Outdoors. Just to have some fun on the river this morning. As expected we had a blast, we didn't keep count but I figure we had at least 20 smallies in the boat and a bonus channel cat around 5lb's and about a 15" Largemouth! We didn't stay long as David had somewhere to be so we left around 11:00am, the better fish are starting to show up now and the biggest went to David and was a 17-18" class smallie. Gotta love the RIVER!
I brought out Bill and his nephew Nick this morning for a 4 hour trip on the Susquehanna River. The action was good and plenty and we probably put 15-20 smallmouths in the boat, not sure exactly as I didn't keep count. We also put a couple of Rock bass in the boat. Nick caught a bonus Northern Pike on a topwater bait (and that fish slammed that bait)! We all shared some laughs and called it quits around 9:30am. The river is just plain fun! Check the customer photos on the Photos/Videos page!
As my previous post mentioned, I brought Don Jacobs of Pennsylvania's Outdoor Life show out on a guided fishing trip on the Susquehanna! I won't spoil the video's but here is a link to the show! PA Outdoor Life Video
Don Jacobs and Brain Hollingshead were both great guys and we had a blast out there on the Susky! Fished a club tournament on Lake Oneida this past weekend. Saturday I took 1st place and my fishing partner Neil Marcen took 2nd place on Saturday and Sunday. We both had the lunker for each day! We had a great time and caught lots of bass!
I brought Don Jacobs out to tape a show on the Susquehanna River in Tunkhannock. The bass did not cooperate too well but the river did not disappoint! I am sure the show will be a good one! The river is a special place to me and if you watch that show, you WILL see why! You don't want to miss this one! It will be airing this sunday on WNEP's Pennsylvania Outdoor Life!
