Brought out a fellow a tournament angler on Lackawanna Lake in Lackawanna State Park today. My client Rocky, had a great time and was really happy with the day of fishing. I think we ended up with around 20 bass in the boat with quite a few quality fish in the mix. Biggest in the boat was a 4.12lb'er that Rocky picked from the depths. I had a great time guiding him today, we both shared some stories and had some laughs.

Brought out John and his son Evan on Lake Carey on Saturday to teach them more about the lake and fishing with plastic baits. We put 6 keeper bass and a few non keepers bass in the boat (both largemouth and smallmouth) along with a bonus keeper walleye and a few rock bass. I can't wait until the fall, when the fish start feeding for the coming winter!
Brought out John and his son Evan to Winola on a 4hr charter to teach them some new tricks for catching bass in the heat of the summer. I think we put about 8 bass in the boat up to about 2lbs. The big bass were a bit elusive this morning but the big pickeral were biting well. Evan caught about a 24" pickeral with shoulders on it! He also caught another about 18" and broke off another at the boat that was at least another 24" class fish. We had a good day and I enjoyed guiding Evan and his father on a pleasant summer morning.
Brought out Dan and his Son Pat on a charter on Lake Winola. The fishing was good and we caught at least 15 today. We managed 3 or 4 fish that were 2.5lbs to 3lbs. I had a great time guiding them both to good fishing and good times!
Fished a tournament with the Bass Bandits on Sunday morning. Rained off and on with a little background thunder. My got to spot didn't produce the first hour and seeing the muddy water I panicked and started fishing other areas. I still managed a 3rd place finish and had a lot of fun doing it. Caught lots of Bass, good times with a good friend.
Fished Lake Winola last Saturday morning to scout out for a few clients. Had a blast and caught 16 bass real quick. Lots of solid fish from 14-17".
Hit Lackawanna Lake with my brother today. We were there practicing for a tournament so we were mostly searching for good fish and covering a bunch of water. We put around 15 largemouth bass in the boat with the biggest going around 18". Seems like we found a couple really promising spots for the tournament next weekend. My brother will hit one spot and I will go to the other. We will see how things go next weekend!
Brought Sam and his Grandfather Sandy to Lake Carey this morning to try and catch a few. The fish were really stingy after the big front that moved through yesterday but we still caught a few. Sam got to reel in the biggest of the day, about a 17" smallmouth. Check it out on the photos page. Sandy got a decent pickeral and a rockbass. We also caught a few small panfish before we called it a day. I was grateful to have a great client's on such a tough day. It was fun teaching Sam(8) how to cast and real them in, he is a natural! His first cast "Ever" with a spinning rod made it at least 20ft!
I had the pleasure of guiding Patrick on a 4hr Wednesday morning trip. The bite grew tougher as the day wore on, but the fishing was still good and I think we got 8 in the boat with a couple of big fish that got off later in the day. I had a great time out there with Patrick and he was really happy with our day on the water.
On Wednesday afternoon I brought out Alex and his father Phil on a Dusk trip. I think we put about 5 or 6 in the boat, with tons of fish slapping their topwaters and missing them. It sure made for some exciting fishing with a couple of great guys. Biggest was a good 16-17" smallie. Good times with great folks! Brought out Nick and Elijah on a fishing trip for panfish this morning and ended up struggling to find good numbers of decent panfish. After we caught just a few nice gills, we targeted both bass and panfish. We put 7 bass(6 keepers I think) in the boat in a couple hours and 3 pickeral and we didn't start fishing for bass till the sun was high and the best fishing was over and done with for the day! It was a pleasure guiding 2 great guys.
