Brought Stan and Larry on the River on Sunday morning. We were hoping the topwater bite would be good but all the fish would do was slap at it, so we had to catch them with a jig! 34 Smallmouth in the boat. No slammers but they put a few keepers in the boat! We had a good time! Love fishing on that River!

Brought Ed and Nancy out a Lake Winola to catch a few and to learn about fishing techniques. They caught a few Largemouths and some nice Crappie and Perch, along with a few Rock Bass! It sure was nice and peacful out on the lake in the morning!
Hit up the river on Friday to tangle with some smallies. Put 54 in the boat before I hung it up. I even managed a few better fish on topwaters which was sure fun!
Brought out Dan and Clem on the river this Sunday, fishing was great with 87 smallmouth making it into the boat, along with a walleye, sucker, a few green sunfish, and a few rock bass as well. No big ones but plenty of keepers were willing to battle! Had a short dusk trip on Saturday with Duane and Amanda, they got them good putting 43 smallmouth bass in the boat, a sucker, and a couple of rock bass as well. The low water sure is nice! The bite is ON! Had a day off and some time for scouting around a possible new place to offer charters.....so off to the west branch I went! I launched in Muncy and covered water up to the Dam in Williamsport. Got a bunch of fish, could have a caught alot more but they were mostly small so I didn't stay on the numbers in hopes of finding better quality fish. Never did find the big ones but had fun. Also got a Walleye and a few gills. About 50 smallies made it in the boat. I don't believe I am going to offer charters there, the North Branch is BETTER! Brought out Craig and Reggie on Saturday, had a good time watching them catch a bunch of fish with some quality in the mix! 67 Smallies in the boat, a few Rock Bass, and 2 suckers! Lots of boats on the water in Tunkhannock today, getting to be a popular place I guess! Brought Ned out on Sunday to catch some Smallies. I had a good time showing him how we catch them in these parts. 37 smallies and a Green Sunfish in the boat. The bass are biting good! Hit up Winola on Friday morning with my brother to have a little fun, and of course we did. Got some nice Largemouths in the boat I have a couple pics below of just a couple of the nice fish we caught. 15 good ones in the boat and we left around noon time. A Susky dusk trip on Saturday was fun! My clients and I had to sit out a thunderstorm, but we still had some time to catch a few more before the sun was gone! 16 in the boat in just a few hours of fishing....not bad! Another Susky trip on Sunday in the heat was also fun, 30 fish in the boat. Including some dandies! Brian had one get off that would have challenged the lunker leader! Love the Susky! Brought out Craig and Billy this morning. The rain was off and on all day but it wasn't too bad. The smallies were biting decent with 47 making it in the boat... No big smallies but they were fun in any case. Bill got a nice channel cat in the boat too. Brought Brain and Marissa out on Lake Winola on Saturday. The fish were still shallow and hiding under docks and in thick grass so the fishing was a bit on the tough side but 6 bass, a few Crappie, and a nice Pickeral made it in boat. Biggest Largemouth was around 18", and Marissa showed up her significant other out there, even though it was really her first time bass fishing! On a side note, the engine in my boat wouldn't run! AT ALL! Hopefully, it will be fixed by next weekend! Anderson here, had Craig Peters out on Saturday with his father Butch on the Susky, they got them good with 27 smallies and 2 nice Channel cats making it in the boat. Sunday was a good day with a short 4hr morning trip, Stan and his buddy put 19 smallies and a nice Channel Cat in the boat! After the morning trip on Sunday I went down to Lake Winola to get some Crappies for the freezer! Caught 20 Crappies in a few hours and called it a day! |
